A national men's wear chain allocated merchandise without an understanding of demand clustering. We strongly defined category elements geared to lifestyle and reposition both inventory and space allocation driven by local demand. The company has since had several years of double digit growth.

Margin Management

We introduced new markdown management technologies into a premier department store group and changed the markdown scheduling processes to derive a better end-of-season margin. Gross margin improved by 400 basis points and was expanded to all women's sportswear areas.
